As Director of Public Relations for The Ferraro Group, Latoya Bembry is responsible for overseeing public relations activities, client relations, creating strategic public relations plans, creating and implementing community outreach and advertising campaigns for clients, creating content and social media strategies for clients, research and writing, and media relations.
Ms. Bembry began her career in public relations as a coordinator/intern in 2003, working under The Ferraro Group Principal Holly Silvestri. Ms. Bembry’s current and past client portfolio spans a wide range of industries including healthcare, law, education, public television, insurance, residential and commercial real estate, environmental, non-profit, food and beverage, and hospitality.
A native of Southern Nevada, Ms. Bembry attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where she was a member of Phi Alpha Delta and worked on public relations campaigns for Rancho High School and Canine Companions for Independence, Las Vegas chapter. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications Studies with an emphasis in Public Relations in 2003.
Ms. Bembry serves as a Big Sister for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Southern Nevada, is a board member for newly formed nonprofit Children’s Advocacy Center, and a member of The Shade Tree Public Relations Committee. She has offered pro bono public relations services to the Anthony L. Pollard Foundation, Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation, and was a member of the Boys Town of Southern Nevada Public Relations Committee. Current and past organizations that she has donated her time or public relations services to include J.T. McWilliams Elementary School, Three Square Food Bank, Northwest Career and Technical Academy, JAG Nevada, Nevada Donor Network, Vegas PBS, Nevada SPCA, the Southern Nevada chapter of Susan G. Komen, Opportunity Village, the MDA, Soldiers’ Angels, Beasley & DeVarreau Sotheby’s International Realty Arts for Education Endowment, Move for Your Heart/Live Love Dance, American Heart Association, and Nevada AIDS Project.
Ms. Bembry was recently named one of Vegas Inc.’s “40 Under 40” honorees for 2017.
